I recently returned from India. I traveled with one of our youth (Josiah) from “The CORE”, the youth group that Julie and I are pastoring. Along with Josiah, I also traveled with Don and Becky Cameron from Christ for India and Rev. Ron Thomason from Cornerstone Church in Jacksonville, FL. It was a great trip and the Lord showed Himself faithful.
The glory of the Lord started manifesting before we even got on the plane to leave. Josiah and I had to leave for the airport at 4:30am so we decided to just stay up all night so that we wouldn’t oversleep. We started worshipping God and I later put on a recording of a sermon of Lou Engle preaching. We could strongly feel the presence of God in our apartment. As the sermon started, Josiah started crying. I wasn’t sure what was going on but I knew it was God. Josiah saw Jesus’ face and His eyes were flames of fire. As he looked in Jesus’ eyes, he was completely undone. The Lord told him that he was jealous for this generation and that Josiah was to reach them. I had been praying that the Lord would use this trip to set the course of Josiah’s life and it was already being accomplished.
We flew out and met up with Pastor Thomason in Chicago and then proceeded to proceed to India.
We were able to visit a couple ministries throughout the state of Andhra Pradesh. Most of our time was spent with our work at Hannah Jyoti Children’s Home with Rehoboth ministries. HJCH is starting a building project to house 100 children. While we were there, we saw land that had been donated and we also received blueprints and estimates for the building. We are now waiting to receive the deed to the land. After that we will be sharing more information on the building project.
Before we left on this trip, we had our youth group pray for us and a Word of Knowledge came that we were going to pray for a child with a cleft palate and that she would be healed. While we were looking at the land, a lady came up to us with a baby who had a cleft lip and palate and by faith we know she is healed.
We also had the opportunity to visit two new pioneering pastors and to do an outdoor evangelistic meeting.
We praise the Lord for the eternal impact He had on the people of India and everyone involved.
